Jujurha Preschool in Bhulungula

In 2006, CHOSA provided the Jujurha Preschool with one of its first significant grants, which went toward providing the materials for community members to build furniture for the learners at the school.

The Jujurha Preschool is part of the Education Programme of the Bulungula Incubator which is an attempt to address the terrible lack of effective education in the village of Nqileni in South Africa. The Bulungula Incubator is a Not-For-Profit Association based in Nqileni Village in the Xhora Mouth Administrative Area of the Eastern Cape. Nqileni is the most remote village in one of the poorest districts in South Africa. The Village is without any basic services.

The Jujurha Preschool provides quality early childhood education for children aged 3 to 6 years and the After School Enrichment Programme catering for children in grades 1, 2 and 3. There is also now a community library.
